About the role
The buyers are careful institutions: insurers, banks, funds and large developers. They buy slowly, they involve procurement, legal, information security and a technical reviewer, and they do not respond to volume outreach. What moves them is somebody who understands their business well enough to be useful before there is a contract.
This is a full cycle role. You source, you qualify, you run the evaluation with a specialist beside you, you negotiate, and you own the number. Nobody hands you meetings.
What you will do
- Own a territory end to end: pipeline generation, qualification, evaluation, commercial negotiation, close, and the first renewal.
- Sell to committees. Map the account, find the economic buyer, the technical reviewer and the person whose problem this actually is, and give each of them the version they need.
- Run structured pilots against success criteria agreed in advance, so an evaluation ends in a decision instead of a stall.
- Get through procurement, legal, information security and vendor onboarding without losing a quarter to them.
- Bring the market back inside. What buyers ask for, what they refuse, what a competitor promised, and what we would have to build to win.
- Keep the CRM accurate enough that the forecast means something.
- Represent us where these buyers actually go, which is a small number of industry events and a lot of individual conversations.
What we look for
- Five or more years closing B2B deals with long cycles and several stakeholders, with attainment you can talk through honestly, including the years you missed.
- Native or fully fluent in a Central or Eastern European language, plus working English. You will sell in the buyer's language and work internally in English.
- You can hold a technical conversation about a quantitative product without hiding behind a specialist, and you know exactly when to bring one in.
- Experience selling into financial services, insurance, or another regulated industry.
- You write well. Most of a deal happens in writing between the calls.
- Comfort with a young product, where the honest answer is sometimes not yet.
Nice to have
- A background inside insurance, banking or real estate rather than only selling to them.
- Data or analytics sales, where the product has to be proven rather than demonstrated.
- An existing network among regional insurers or lenders.
- A further language used in the region.
